Nanjing "Autumn Capital" Recreational Agricultural Tour Kicked Off

2010 Nanjing "Autumn Capital" Recreational Agricultural Tour Fresh Fruits Picking Festival of Luhe, Zhuzhen and 10th Anniversary of Minzu Town kicked off. Thousands of tourists went sightseeing, picked fresh fruits and watched performances in Zhuzhen Town, enjoying the fun of recreational agricultural tour.

The "Autumn Capital" event this year will last from September 26th to November 15th. During the festival, tourists can appreciate the traditional style of Zhuzhen old street, taste original Hui Minority foods, experience unique minority group culture and household lives. At the newly developed scenic spots such as Xishan Hill of Taohua Island, Chestnut Garden of Zhimaling, Grapery of Fengle Village, Golden Yingzhou, Base of Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Base of Chestnuts, tourists can have fun in picking and eating peaches, grapes, winter dates and chestnuts.

As the host district of Nanjing "Autumn Capital" Recreational Agricultural Tour, Luhe District has developed several itineraries including Longpao Cate Tour, Jinniu Lake Recreation Tour, Zhuzhen Ecological Tour. There are star-rated recreation farms: Nanjing Jasmine Garden and Tianlong Holiday. There are 3 provincial level and 2 municipal forest parks: Pingshan Hill, Fangshan Hill and Jinniu Lake; Lingyan Hill, Zhuzhen Dragon Spring.

There is also Xinglong Isle Marsh Park, the biggest peach garden base in east China Zhuzhen Tuozi Hill Peach Base and the biggest base for winter dates and yellow pears in the Yangtze River Basin.
