Li Wancai meets General Tin Aung Myint Oo of Myanmar

At the invitation of Vice Premier Li Keqiang, accompanied by the Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ye Dabo, General Tin Aung Myint Oo, the first secretary of the State Peace and Development Council of Myanmar, arrived in Dalian for a visit yesterday. Mayor Li Wancai met with him in Dalian Hotel the very same day.

Li Wancai welcomed the guests and gave them an introduction about the economic and social development of Dalian. Li Wancai said that, with adjoining mountains and rivers and deep connections between China and Myanmar, the two people have enjoyed the traditional friendship of brothers . In 60 years of diplomatic ties, we have greatly developed our good-neighbor relationship, broadened our economic and trade cooperation and brought tangible benefits to both people. We have established a good relationship for cooperation between Dalian and Myanmar: the cooperation between CNR Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. and the Myanmar business community has lasted more than 20 years, and has achieved win-win results. In the process of opening and developing Liaoning Coastal Economic Zone, we are willing to establish a closer relationship for the cooperation with Myanmar. We expect that the visit of General Tin Aung Myint Oo will further broaden the exchanges between Dalian and Myanmar in trade, culture, tourism, etc., to achieve mutual benefits and a win-win situation.
