On October 10, the inaugural meeting of the Organizing Committee of the second Summer Youth Olympic Games was held in Nanjing. Nanjing Youth Olympic Games is another international comprehensive sports event in China after Beijing Olympic Games and Guangzhou Asian Games, and also the grandest sports event ever hosted in Jiangsu. The provincial party committee and the provincial government attach great importance to the event and fully support the bid and the preparation work of Nanjing. Nanjing municipal party committee and municipal government, regarding the host of YOG as an important starting point to promote local sports, will exert the utmost effort to mobilize the whole city to participate and push forward the preparation work, under the guidance of the International Olympic Committee, the State Sports General Administration and the provincial government.
