On the night of May 2nd, some university presidents attending the 4th Chinese-Foreign University Presidents Forum cruised along the Qinhuai River. The magnificent nightscape, poetic and picturesque history of Qinhuai and mysterious Ming Dynasty City Wall all impressed the guests deeply.
The university presidents got onto painted pleasure boats at Dongshuiguan Dock and sailed to the memorial archway with inscription of "Tian Xia Wen Shu" (center of culture and education) in front of the Hall of Great Accomplishment of the Confucius Temple. All the way, the guests highly praised the scene and applauded to show their appreciation.

Richard H. Brodhead, President of Duke University says, "I know that there are many universities in Nanjing but it is surprising for me to see such a magnificent ancient city wall and beautiful Qinghuai River.
