June 17th, North Electronic Information Technology Group was founded in Nanjing through the restructuring of Nanjing North Information Industrial Group, Taiyuan North Automatic Control Technology Institute, and Institute for Computer Application of China Ordnance Industries Group. The new group will help China s ordnance equipment industry with self innovation via establishing a chain platform of production and research.

The newly founded group is registered in Nanjing with total assets of 3.78 billion RMB. Its core mission is general design of informationization and system integration for ordnance equipment. Through integration, North Electronic Information Technology Group is very strong with 1 chief ordnance expert of China, 36 experts who enjoy special subsidy from the State Council, 2 post-doctoral science and research work stations in system engineering, and 6 research centers such as Fire Control and Command Control Research Development Center and Vehicle General Electronic Technology Engineering Center.
It provides products for land army including artillery, armored forces, engineer and chemical defense corps, the three services and missile forces. It supplies to not only China market but also mainstream international military trade markets, as far as the Middle East, South America and Southeast Asia.
Meanwhile, the group has also scored achievements in numeric control industry, automobile electronics, civil communication, non-war military operation communication command system and artificial weather alteration. It is introduced that, more than 10 parade squares were using information system supplied by North Electronic Information Technology Group at the ordnance equipment parade of the military parade ceremony at the 60th Anniversary of National Day.
It is said that, China Ordnance Industries Group has signed a framework agreement of strategic cooperation with Jiangsu Provincial Government. The two sides will carry out all-round cooperation on heavy equipment and vehicles, opt-electric information and fine chemicals. (Nanjing Daily)
