More Investment In Communications

This year, XJ will put over 20 bln yuan in communications construction.A comprehensive transport system across XJ, linking townships and villages will be constructed.

XJ's largest interchange overpass is under tense construction. It is a pivot project of the Kuqa-Aksu Highway along National Highway 314. The 3-layer overpass, with 4 lanes in two directions, is invested with 120 mln yuan.

"We will organize more constructors and put more equipments. We plan to finish the main part by the end of this year."

Kuqa Aksu Highway is about 260 km long. Upon its completion in 2011, it will link South and North XJ, and become a key passageway to Central Asia and Europe. In addition,there are over 60 newly started communications projects in XJ.

"XJ was regarded as the end part of the highway network in the whole country. Now, we will make it become the hub of communications to central, west and east Asia even Europe."
