Turpan Celebrates Its Grape Festival
The 19th China Silk Road Turpan Grape Festival opened in Turpan Thursday afternoon. The event will last 11 days.

"This year s festival highlights grape, aiming to bring more opportunity to grape industry of Turpan Prefecture, so the festival is being specially held at Grape Valley."
The Festival will hold various activities, such as grapes show and grape-eating competition. Besides, the winery technique communication meeting will be held. It invites experts from home and abroad to share the precious wine-making technique.
The event will also hold trade talks to show the resources advantages of Turpan. Agreements valuing 16 billion Yuan have been signed on the opening day.
In addition, colorful performances and handicrafts will be also displayed during the festival.
