Hundreds of people were trapped in Kuqa due to the mountain torrent caused by rainstorm. XJ Military Area dispatched helicopter to the disaster-hit place. For the bad weather, the helicopter couldn't carry out rescue work in the first 2 days. As the weather turning good on Sunday, a helicopter flew to the north mountainous areas from Kuqa Airport, and sent relief materials including food and water to some disaster-hit visitors. It also flew to the lower reaches of Tarim River for supervision. now, 80% disaster-hit people had been safely relocated.
