In 2003, Yuxi made the strategy development based on ecological construction. When the projects of water-route alteration of Xingyun Lake and Fuxian Lake and drawing water from Jiulongchi Park into downtown are completed, about 100 million cubic meters of water will flow from Yuxi River into the central area of the city.
The scene is now just like a painting
Here the air is fresh and there is hill and water, which looks just like a painting. It is very nice to do exercises here. Chen Xiuhua, a 51-year-old lady enjoying practicing Taichi, told the reporter. Before, she could only practice with a few lovers due to limited space. Now they often gather at the square to practice and demonstrate the art to a larger audience, trying to attract more people to join them. She has invited Deng Wenping, a teacher at the Yuxi Senior College, to teach the art to the group.
