The 16th Asian Games Torch Relay Zhongshan Station will start officially at 8:30 a.m. on October 12. Then 80 torchbearers, 30 of which are elected by Zhongshan organizer, will run 100 meters each and this activity will conclude at about 11:30.
Zhongshan is Dr. Sun Yat-sen s hometown and also entitled with Torch Cradle . Torches of many large sports meetings are produced here including Beijing 2008 Olympics, Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games and the 11th National Sports Meeting, and the torch of the 16th Asian Games will also be produced here.
