The six days China Hi-Tech Fair 2010 opened at Shenzhen Exhibition Center yesterday. With the aim of becoming The top international technical exposition and the theme of Technology-based transition and innovation-driven development , the fair displays innovative achievements in newly-emerged industries, low carbon technology and technology for people s livelihood.
The Hi-Tech fair has four features: firstly, the active participation of government agencies such as the Department of Commerce, the Department of Industry and Information, the State Development and Reform Commission, and Chinese Academy of Sciences. These government agencies formed teams or opened galleries to attend the fair with the focus of displaying China s achievements in major projects for science and technology development, fundamental research, and cutting-edge technology during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan period; Secondly, focusing on the development of the strategic new industries, highlighting the competitive programs and cutting-edge technologies related to strategic new industries; thirdly, abundant new technologies and products represented by the Three Nets Integration Section and the Internet Technology and Application Section ; fourthly, the increasing international influence with 28 teams formed by 18 countries including the United States, Russian, France, and Canada.
5 ministerial officials from other countries will attend and address the Ministerial Forum .
