On Nov 11th, Chinese President Hu Jintao arrived in Seoul, the capital of South Korea to attend the 5th G20 summit. Upon arrival at Seoul Incheon Airport by special plane at 11:20 local time, President Hu Jintao and his wife Liu Yongqing received a warm welcome from the representatives of South Korean government.
G20 Seoul Summit will be held on Nov 11th to 12th, mainly discussing such issues as the current world economic situation, a strong, sustainable and balanced growth framework, international financial institutional reform, international financial regulation, global financial safety network, development and trade. As the first G20 summit held in Asian countries and emerging economies, Seoul Summit is of great significance for the future development of G20.
After attending G20 Seoul Summit, President Hu Jintao will attend the 18th APEC Economic Leaders Meeting held in Yokohama, Japan.
