The 2010 FINA 10km Marathon World Cup (Shantou, China) jointly sponsored by FINA, China Swimming Association, Guangdong Sports Bureau and Shantou People's Government took place on Xinjin River, Shantou, on the afternoon of September 25. 63 athletes from around the world took part in the competition.
Since 2006, Shantou has been the only city in mainland China to host this contest for 4 consecutive years. Athletes, coaches and officials from 29 countries and regions have been here for this event. Approved by the State Sports General Administration, Shantou will continue to host the Marathon Swimming World Cup from 2010 to 2013.
