Chaoshan (Haojiang) First Folk Cultural Festival Opens

Chaoshan (Haojiang) First Folk Cultural Festival and Series Art Activities Greeting Spring Festival opened on February 14.
After the opening ceremony, a number of folk events of extremely Chaoshan characteristics were on show intensively on Zhupu Cultural Plaza, such as Chaozhou Drum Performance, Yingge Dance, Unicorn Dance, Buma Dance, High-pile Lion Dance, Lion Dance, and Stilt Walk, etc. These shows have fully demonstrated the exuberant vitality and gorgeous flavour of Chaoshan Folk Culture. The whole event will last until February 19, 2011 (the seventeenth day of the first lunar month).
