Repair for Shantou Port-opening Culture Exhibition Hall will be Completed

The repair for Shantou Port-opening Culture Exhibition Hall, located in Building No.1, Yongping, Wan'an Residents' Committee, Hai'an Street, Jinping District, will be fully completed after the long National Day holiday. As various physical objects and information related to port-opening culture have been successively collected and placed in the Hall, the Hall will present a brand new profile to the public.
The preparation for establishment of Shantou Port-opening Culture Exhibition Hall takes the concept of "learning from the history to create the future" as the guiding ideology, making every effort to reflect the historical context of Shantou's port opening, the significance of port opening and the prosperity brought by the port opening in terms of display layout so as to express the theme of striving for the rising of Shantou in such important point of 150th anniversary of port opening. Upon completion, the Hall will be used to display Shantou's port-opening historical culture, relics and cultural artworks, which will open to the public free of charge. Besides, the Hall will become a landmark scenic spot for historical and cultural tourism in Shantou.
