Construction of Niutianyang Expressway Will be Commenced This Year

Shantou will speed up the construction of the municipal infrastructure, and plans to invest 249 million yuan to commence the construction of roads, such as Niutianyang Expressway (West Jinfeng Road), so as to open the main entrance to the central city on the west, and ease the traffic pressure of the downtown.
This year, Shantou will pay close attention to launching a number of projects bringing conveniences to the people, to benefit the people with achievements of the urban construction. Shantou will take the following special actions for road traffic control and management, and road surface repair and maintenance to optimize the urban environment:
i) To commence the upgrading and reconstruction of Xidi Road, Hanjiang Road, South Longyan Road;
ii) To newly build West Zhongshan Road and Chaoyang Road engineering;
iii) To implement the upgrading and reconstruction of Xinxing Road, Yuejin Road, Dahua Road, and Waima Road; and
iv) To commence the construction of the supporting engineering for Taishan Road connecting Shantou-Jieyang-Meizhou Expressway.
