Longhu Section of Shantou-Jieyang Expressway Commenced

Longhu Section of Shantou- Jieyang Expressway was commenced on February 28, marking that the construction for Shantou Section of Shantou-Jieyang Expressway has been fully under way.
Shantou Section of Shantou- Jieyang Expressway runs through both east and west of Shantou city. It is the shortcut from Shantou to Chaoshan Airport to be completed soon. The whole line will strive to be put into operation in June 2012. The improved road network will form a three-dimensional transportation hub of sea, land and air for Chaoshan areas. After completion, it will greatly improve the traffic conditions in Shantou, and has important strategic significance on Shantou's acceleration of scientific development and building of regional central city. Last year, Jinping Section of Shantou Jieyang Expressway has been under construction.
