Construction for Shantou Table Salt Distribution Center Commences

On the morning of March 9, the groundbreaking ceremony for multi-functional Shantou Table Salt Distribution Center that integrates production, storage and distribution of table salt was held.
The Center covers an area of 4acres. The Phase-I Project will be completed and put into use by the end of October 2011. After completion, the Project will produce and process iodized salt of 40,000 tons every year. The strategic storage capacity of the table salt is 10,000 tons, which will completely change the passive situation of existing salt production lagged behind and storage insufficient and fully improve the production quality of iodized salt, so as to ensure the normal supply for iodized salt in Shantou City and East Guangdong region.
