The design picture of the extreme sports area in Huangqi Mountain City Park
The gap that there is no large-scale area for extreme sports in Dongguan will be filled in the near future when residents can enjoy inline skating, skateboarding, extreme cycling and parkour downtown. An extreme sports area with an investment of up to 58 million yuan will be built in Huangqi Mountain City Park, Dongguan Daily reported February 21, 2011.
According to the Construction Engineering Trade Center, the construction of the extreme sports area will start from March 1 and complete by the end of this year. There will be 54,569 square meters paved roads and over 100,000 square meters green land in the area.
Another project of Huangqi Mountain City Park, Dongguan Tennis Centre is also under open bidding at present. Located in the southern part of the Park, the two-story Tennis Centre covers an area of 93,910 square meters with a total investment of over 0.11 billion yuan.
