President Zhong inspected the Independent Enrollment Interview

On March 6th, President Zhong Binglin and Vice President Han Zhen inspected the Independent Enrollment interviews for potential students; including gifted students in particular subjects and free-education students in Beijing Normal University. They acquired detailed information about the status of applications this year from the committee of interviewers in different subjects and personally went to observe some of the interviews.
President Zhong spoke highly of the selection style, which focuses on students interest and specialties and evaluates them by their school lessons, aptitude tests, and interviews. President Zhong hoped that the departments concerned can carry out the testing procedures and plans strictly, constantly summarizing the experiences collected from the work of independent enrollment, improve the reliability and effectiveness of the tests, and select those students who truly possess creative potential and academic expertise.
This is the first time that our independent enrollment of excellent high school graduates is open to the whole country. We aim to select those who have great interest in subjects such as philosophy, social work, resource science and engineering. The test for gifted students in particular subjects and the free-education students will be held on March 5th and 6th. This test consists of two parts; a paper test which will evaluate skills in Chinese, mathematics, English as well as other abilities, and the interview with experts. Related departments have prepared well-designed test models and argument topics in order to ensure the standard, reliability and justness of the interview.
