On the afternoon of June 22, Mr. John White, the chairman of the US-China Partnership Research Center, and Ms Dai Min, the director-general, visited our university. Liu Liqun, the president assistant held a talk with Mr. White and Ms Dai Min.
During the meeting, Liu Liqun warmly welcomed Mr. White and Ms. Dai Min for their visit, and introduced briefly the condition and developing objective of our school. She pointed out that communication was playing an important role in the relationship between the USA and China, and said that the cooperation between the CUC and the USA-China Partnership Research Center was favorable for promoting understanding between the two countries and would make a contribution to the global peace as well. Mr. White indicated that their research center was dedicated to implementing a long-term global cooperation between the two governments and enterprises. The Center appreciated our idea of promoting global communication and wished to be a cooperative partner of the CUC. In addition, the two parts also discussed some subjects in some relative fields, such as newsreel production, new media researches, publication cooperation on series books of international relations, academic seminars, overseas students education on the Chinese language, etc.
Peng Jun, the deputy chairman of the Chinese Language Teaching School; Cao Sansheng, the director of the Broadband and New media Research Center; Xiao Huanrong, the director of the International Relations Research Center; Pan Kewu, the head of the external cooperative program in the Film & TV Associations of Colleges and Universities; teachers from the International Exchange and Cooperation Department participated in the meeting.
After the talk, Mr. White and his party went to visit the CUC TV Station and the New Media Research Center.
The USA-China Partnership Research Center is a think tank in America with a mission to promote implementing a faithful and long-term global cooperation between American and Chinese governments and enterprises. The focus of its work is to use the Game Theory to elaborate the intricate US-China relationship in an information time.
