Professor of UCLA Visited School of Television and Film Art

On May 17th, Professor Robert Rosen, who is the Honorary Dean of School of Theater, Film and Televisionof University of California Los Angeles and now is the director of Narrative Research Center of this university, visited School of Television and Film Art of CUC. Professor Rosen is an international doctoral supervisor of Film Studies of School of Television and Film Art and he is currently the supervisor of the Ph. D candidate Zhang Jingyu of this school.
Li Xingguo, Dean of School of Television and Film Art, and Assistant Dean Li Wei met and entertained Professor Rosen, to welcome and appreciate his visiting and teaching. The two sides discussed specific issues about Professor Rosen s working as the doctoral supervisor of School of Television and Film Art of CUC, and had an in-depth discussion about further exchange and cooperation between the School of Theater, Film and Televisionof UCLA and the School of Television and Film Art of CUC.
During his two-week s visit, Professor Rosen planned to give three lectures for students majoring in Film Studies and other related majors. The three lectures are Forms and Functions of Narratives, Dynamics of Historical Memory and Story and Style with Chinese translation.
