Opening Ceremony Held for New Students

An opening ceremony was held for the new students of 2007 on August 23. Tsinghua President Gu Binglin, University Council Chairman Chen Xi, as well as other university leaders attended the Ceremony.
In his address, President Gu congratulated the new students and encouraged them to aim high, be creative, and maintain a positive attitude.
Registration for the new students was held on August 22. Tsinghua enrolled 3,324 undergraduate students in 2007.
