The 19th China Metallurgical Construction Group (19MCC Group) announced recently that, after tough competition during the past three months, it finally succeeded in winning the bid for the steel structure works of China's First Whale-shark Pavilion in Yantai City of Shandong Province. As the third Whale-shark Pavilion of the world, this facility is a part of Yudaishan Fisherman's Wharf.
The pavilion covers a floorage area of 16,743 square meters, with cast-in-place reinforced concrete frame structure for the internal sections, and trussed construction and metal roofing structure for the external wall and the roof. The structure is designed with a safety degree of structure is Grade II and a fire resistance rating of Grade I, with a fire endurance duration of two hours.
