An official delegation of Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD) conducted an inspection visit to Luxembourg Pavilion at World Expo Venue in Shanghai on March 16, 2010. The delegation was headed by MOHURD Minister Jiang Weixin and his deputy Qi Ji. Vice Mayor Shen Jun of Shanghai Municipal Government, Director-General Huang Rong of Shanghai Urban Construction & Communications Commission and Vice Director-General Huang Jianzhi of Shanghai World Expo Business Coordinated Bureau accompanied the ministers during the visit.
The Minister and his delegation members visited the Luxembourg Pavilion which was contracted by Shanghai Baoye Construction Group (SBC-MCC). They were debriefed on the overall implementation in terms of design, construction and exhibition layout. The officials also learned the professional experiences of SBC-MCC, as well as the projects undertaken for World Expo Shanghai 2010. The delegation members were deeply impressed by the unique style of Luxembourg Pavilion and the application of weather resisting steel plate. In addition, the officials placed a high premium on the perfect performance of the SBC-MCC people for the project construction.
Now Luxembourg Pavilion has passed through the acceptance inspection, and the employer has started equipment installation work for the exhibition. It is anticipated that all the works included in the contract and the additional items will be completed in the early of April, and afterwards the whole facility will be handed over the employer for preparation work of the exhibition.
