It is reported that the EU-wide ban on the use of antibiotics as feed additives in animal food takes effect on January 1st, 2006. It is thus necessary to develop new drugs that are in line with the international and domestic policies for the industry. Chinese herbal medicine is well qualified as the alternative in terms of its therapeutic and health effect. It is therefore bound to play an important role in this cooperation project, and will definitely be promoted and accepted internationally. For this purpose, with its advantages in aquaculture and Chinese herbal veterinary drugs, Tongwei Co., Ltd. strives to develop antibiotics alternatives to meet the increasing demand for green and healthy animals. This is Tongwei s strategic global vision, and it also will bring practical social and economic returns.
