President Hu Jintao Met with Chairman Liu and his Discussion Panel
March 3 14, the 3rd sessions of the 11th NPC & CPPCC were held in Beijing. During the two sessions, Mr. Liu Hanyuan, the standing committee member of the CPPCC, Board Chairman of Tongwei Group, had been conscientiously performing his functions of democratic supervision and participation in the management of state affairs.
Chairman Liu aired his views on the following issues: Encouraging enterprises to overseas investment, optimizing the structure of foreign exchange reserves; Establishing Chinese Population Development and Coordination Committee; Accelerating the construction of new energy base in China by making full use of the photovoltaic resources in the west; Comparative Study of New Energy Resources and the Strategic Choices of China s New Energy; Promoting Microalgae Research to ensure the long-term security of China s food.
Mr. Liu recommended giving enterprises a certain amount of foreign exchange credit, support competitive enterprises to go global, and invest overseas, as well as purchase overseas high-quality assets, resources and high technology.
In terms of PV industry construction, development and utilization, Chairman Liu pointed out it is necessary to develop solar photovoltaic power stations, and construct new energy bases to sustain China s fast development in the next 30 years.
Furthermore, Mr. Liu continued on comparative study of new energy resources and the strategic choices of china s new energy. It is concluded that solar energy is the most abundant, economical, clean and eco-friendly sustainable energy. Finally, Chairman Liu made a speech on promoting microalgae research to ensure the long-term security of China s food.
