Starting from August 1st in more than 100 major cities and 8,000 home appliance stores, Hisense is launching a large-scale promotional activity called "consumers buying Hisense blue media LED get a 1,000 yuan return", which aims at further expanding Hisense s market share.
Hisense is China's first company to manufacture the LED (backlight) LCD TV. In recent years, the company has been actively expanding its LED backlight module production line and has occupied the upper reaches of industrial resources. In addition, Hisense has the advantage in that it possesses all resources for the research and development of the entire machine. Therefore, with its prominent advantage in scale, Hisense can now initiate further price cuts.
Experts predict that in the second half of 2009, market demand for flat-panel TVs will increase significantly and LEDs will become the most sought after item within the television industry. From January to June, the sales volume and sales revenue of LED (backlight) LCD TVs increased by 67.98% and 85.99% respectively
