September the 1st marks the beginning of a new semester for Chinese students. On August the 31st, more than 5000 freshmen from all over China attended a opening ceremony in military uniform, the students are all in good spirits.
Liu Rongwan,the president of our university gave the students an inspiring speech. At the beginning of the speech, Liu expressed his welcome and expectation to the students.In the meantime, Liu also expressed his gratitude to the drillmasters. The speech lasted for about an hour and what Liu said in the speech really gave the students a lesson. During the speech, Liu not only shared the philosphy of life with the students, but also the importance of making contribution to our country. The students form grade 2008 will begin their military on September the 1st and the military traning will last for 14 days.
