On March, 7th, HZU president Peng Yonghong was invited to attend the Cross-Straits Presidential Forum Among Universities from Mainland China and Chinese Taiwan, which was hosted by Department of Education of Guangdong Province and assisted by China Soong Ching Ling Foundation. During the forum, President Peng signed letters of intention for cooperation with 5 universities including China University of Technology from Taiwan Province, which fuels the future interaction and cooperation between HZU and universities from Taiwan Province.
The forum aims at promoting further cooperation and communications among universities in Mainland China and Taiwan Province. Eleven university presidents from Taiwan Province and up to 13 university presidents from Mainland China attended the forum.
