December 5 - The Secretary of Party Committee in GDUFS Xu Zhenhua and several department heads visited QueenslandUniversity in Australia and Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand. They attended several meetings and made some important agreements during the trip.
The delegation first visited QueenslandUniversity, where they received a warm welcome from Principal Paul Greenfield and his colleagues. The two parties reached an agreement for future cooperation.In order to improve co-operative programs, from July 2010, GDUFS will send 10-12 teachers to QueenslandUniversity to study and QueenslandUniversity will send a delegation to GDUFS in October of 2010.
Then Xu Zhenhua visited Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand. The department head of International Development, Christopher Hawley, warmly welcomed the delegation. Both sides presented brief introductions of each university and discussed the subject of sending teachers to continue with projects.
Xu Zhenhua also visited the Chinese Consul-General in Auckland, Ms Liao Juhua and some alumni from GDUFS in New Zealand. In the evening, the Consul-General held a banquet for the delegation to express their pleasure at having the guests.
