March 28- The Annual Research Project Meeting for 2010 was held at GDUFS on March 25th.It was hosted by the Guangdong Academy for International Strategy (GAIS) and was attended by experts from all areas. Also in attendance were Vice President Gu Yeli and Li Qing, Secretary-General of GAIS. At the meeting, a number of significant research projects for this year were discussed, which will serve as intellectual support for Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Guangdong Provincial Government.

Mr. Zhu Maoqin, Deputy Director of Policy Research Office of Guangdong Provincial Committee, pointed out that a low-carbon economy was going to be a future concern, thus he proposed setting up a research project.

Based on the discussion, nine projects were drafted, including the regional development of the RMB and the status and strategy of Guangdong in the Economic Integration in East Asia.
Vice President Shi Youqi, while consenting to the research subjects suggested by the experts, emphasised that strategic research projects should be forward-looking as well as practice-guiding.
On half of GDUFS, Vice President Gu Yeli expressed his gratitude to the experts who had greatly contributed since the set-up of GAIS last year at GDUFS.He pointed out that as a research platform for Guangdong province, GAIS also played a important role in the development of GDUFS.
