Our university grandly holds the 2006 postgraduate graduation ceremony

On the afternoon of June 15, more than two hundred teachers and students of our university had a happy get-together at Binjiang Reporting Hall, holding formally the 2006 graduation ceremony of Postgraduates of our university. When president Li Lianshui, Vice secretary of the Party committee, Li Gang, Vice president Lu Weisong, Vice president Guan Zhaoyong, Vice president Cheng Jianjun and vice president Niu Shengjie walked onto the platform in supervisors garment, the audience burst into thunderous applause. Mr. Zhu Weijun, director of postgraduate department, hosted the ceremony. All the deans of the departments with postgraduate programs and some postgraduate supervisors attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Prof. Li Lianshui, president of our university and also chairman of the university degree evaluation committee and supervisor of doctorate candidates, delivered an ardent address. He expressed heartfelt congratulations to the 20 doctorate candidates and 179 candidates for master s degree. He hoped that all the graduating postgraduates will maintain fine study habits, keep a enterprising and progressing spirit, and bravely shoulder the historical responsibilities of building our country, be honest and creditable, and then he gave them the motto to encourage them: study, progress, creditability, contentment . Prof. Shen Shuanghe, supervisor of candidates for master s degree, delivered a speech on behalf of all the supervisors. He encouraged the students to continue study and to achieve new successes in their future work, and do credit to our university. Student Shen Yan and student Yang Xia delivered a speech respectively on behalf of all the doctorate candidates and candidates for master s degree.

In the happy music, all the doctorate students and students for master s degree filed onto the platform in degree garments, then the university leaders set right the tassels of the cap for each student, awarded them degree certificates and at last had a group photo taken with them to mark the occasion.

The graduation ceremony ended in a happy and joyous atmosphere.
