NUPT Held the Seminar on Internet of Things Building

On the morning of September 3rd, NUPT held the Seminar on Internet of Things Building. Secretary of the Party Committee Min Chunfa, President Yang Zhen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Cao Jincai, Vice President Zhu Yongping, Huang Wei, Liu Chen, Hong Bo, Zhan Chunfu and other leaders from different departments have attended this meeting. President Yang Zhen presided over this conference.
Huang wei Vice-president and Shi Qinfen the section chief of Science Technology office introduced the circumstances of Internet of things building in universities of Jiangsu province. The job of establishing the "Feel China" center and the sensing network was an important task that had been handed from the national government to the Jiangsu provincial government. It was in response for the need for socioeconomic development and university exploration in Jiangsu. At present, sensing network has been listed as one of the six new emerging industries in Jiangsu which would be focused on cultivating and developing. Education department of Jiangsu province demanded that universities should grasp this important historic opportunity of Internet of things building to study, aware, reach, deploy and become effective in an early time.
The meeting pointed out that the purpose for Internet of things building was to further implement the concept of scientific development and the core spirit of the connotation construction conference. In addition, it s also a great opportunity to enhance the educational standard of our school.
Secretary of the Party Committee Min Chunfa requested the faculty should highly set up the awareness of opportunity, efficiency, consciousness and initiative to cherish every opportunity to participate in the relevant work in Internet of things building.
The meeting centered on Internet of Things research and building. President Yang Zhen made a plan from four principals: what needs to be done, what can be done, who should do it, and how it should be done. He also made specific arrangements for the next steps.
The meeting called for faculty to seize this important historic opportunity of internet of things building for keeping and expanding our school s advantage in this field, actively participating in local economical construction, and realizing the leap-forward development of our school s educational standard.
