From 9:00 am. February 19th through 23rd Beijing Time, American Mathematical Contest in Modeling was being held. 14 teams from NUPT participated in this contest, 10 of them awarded with prizes, including 5 first prizes and 5 second prizes. This achievement is top in colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province and is the best of its kind in NUPT history.
Mathematical Contest in Modeling and Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling were initiated by SIAM in 1985. Now the contests cover the greatese number of college students and are recognized as one of the most famous international competition.
