The Second International Conference of the Chinese Society of Micro-Nano Technology organized by NPU was held in Xi'an from Oct. 21 to 23. The conference was attended by Academicians Wang Liding Xu Zhilei and Tian Shaowu, President Zhang Wendong from Taiyuan University of Technology, Vice President Jiang Zhuangde from Xi'an Jiaotong University and more than 100 other scholars. Professor Yuan Weizheng director of MEMS Laboratory at NPU and Cheung Kong Scholar, is elected the standing council member and vice chair of the International Cooperation and Exchange Committee.
10 eminent scholars from the U.S., the U.K., France, Germany, Singapore and China deliver their presentations on the micro-system technology for bio-medical treatment, bionic microsystem technology, microfluid technology, photo-microsystem technology, micro-nano multi-scale mechanics and other numerous internationally cutting-edge fields. The conference receives 326 papers and accepts 187 papers which include 82 oral reports and 105 posters.
The scholars visit the MEMS Laboratory at NPU and speak highly of its first-class conditions and strong capability. The international conference receives strong support and good feedback from the scholars at home and abroad, fully displaying NPU's emerging interdisciplinary building-up achievements and further raising NPU's international influence on micro-nano technology.
