On Oct. 20 Mr. Carlson, former governor of a Norwegian province, and his delegation visited NPU, and Tang Hong, director of Office for International Cooperation met with the delegation. Mr. Tang Hong extended his warm welcome to the delegation, gave a briefing on NPU and exchanged his views on what the delegation concerns about new energy development and renewable energy research.
Mr. Carlson briefed the investment projects implemented by the energy investment company in the realms of wind power hydrogen energy and biomass energy development, hoping that his visit will help him find in West China the wind energy and biomass energy development cooperation projects. Liu Zhenxia, vice dean of School of Power and Energy, briefed his School's new energy development research projects and answered Mr.
Carlson's questions about solar power and wind power development. Both sides would like to take this opportunity to explore cooperation realms and establish long-term cooperation relations.
