Hunan University Sci-tech Park Accredited as a National Park

The Ministry of Science and Technology issued a notice recently, officially accrediting the Sci-tech Park of Hunan University and other 9 sci-tech parks as national university sci-tech parks. The Sci-tech Park of Hunan University, which was launched and developed in 2006, has become the first national sci-tech park throughout Hunan Province.

Up to now, over 70 enterprises have been incubated in the Sci-tech Park of Hunan University, among which 51 enterprises have introduced talents and technologies from Hunan University. There are five research and development centers within the park, including Advanced Powertrain Technology Research Center of Hunan University, Module Design & Development Center of Hunan Province, and Automobile& Components Public Technology Service Platform.

By cooperating with universities, the sci-tech park has been vigorously promoting many service projects like organizing training programs on starting businesses. So far, the number of student business ventures has totaled 27. Over the past four years, enterprises in the park have received about 2,000 university students for internships and employment. The sci-tech park is making earnest efforts to cultivate 5 listed companies during the period of the Twelfth Five-year Plan.
