From November 1st to 5th, a delegation of nine people from International Writers Workshop (IWW) of Hong Kong Baptist University, led by Dr. Robert Neather visited SDU. The theme of the delegation was From the Mediterranean . Six international writers and one Chinese writer were invited:Elisa Biagini, Italian poet and translator,Khaled Khalifa, Syrian novelist and screenwriter, Xavier Moret, Spanish novelist, journalist and travel writer, Mabrouk Rachedi, French novelist and essayist, Amina Zaydan, Egyptian novelist and editor, Mahir Oztas, Turkish fiction writer and essayist, and Chen Xue, Taiwan s novelist. During their stay, the delegation discussed with teachers and students from the School of Foreign Languages and Literature and School of Literature and Journalism on the themes of Interactive Influence of Culture and Literature and Life .
