President Xu Xianming Met with Prof. Saeki Hitoshi

On September 2nd, President Xu Xianming met with Prof. Saeki Hitoshi, the renowned Japanese jurist in criminal law and Dean of the Law School, the University of Tokyo. Prof. Hitoshi was appointed as Visiting Professor of SDU.

Xu welcomed the visit by Prof. Hitoshi and extended his regards to Prof. Junichi Hamada, the President of Tokyo University. He introduced the history, scale and development of SDU as well as the revision of the 8th amendment to the Criminal Law of China. Also, he recalled his visit to Tokyo University last November and spoke highly of the Law School. Hitoshi expressed his gratitude for being appointed as Visiting Professor of SDU, and said he would try his best to fulfill responsibilities and to do his share to contribute to the development of SDU. Prof. Qi Yanping, Dean of the Law School, SDU, was present at the meeting.

After the meeting, Hitoshi gave a lecture to the teachers and students of the Law School.
