A New Step of International Cooperation for Zhejiang University Press

In 2006, Zhejiang University Press and German Springer Publishing Group together set up China s first cross-publishing fund for the publishing of original works of science and technology. The series of books on progress in science and technology in China jointly published by two agencies attracted wide international attention. In 2009 Beijing International Book Fair, Zhejiang University Press signed an agreement with the Spanish architectural press Future Publishing Ltd. to publish "Future Architecture" series of books.

The first book of "Future Architecture" series has been published -- Shanghai Expo 2010: Pavilion Competition Entries & Urban. The book is published in 3 languages, Chinese, English and Spanish, to show the pavilion design competition entries of Shanghai Expo 2010, and the distinctive history of and the latest development in architecture of these countries. The prize-winning entries and candidate entries are presented alike in the book.

As an outstanding university press, Zhejiang University Press is expanding its international influence by cooperating with world-class publishing houses. The cooperation with Future Publishing Ltd. marks new breakthroughs in the field of architecture publishing with far-reaching brand effect. It s expected that the "Future Architecture" series will go international.
