On Sep. 9th, a delegation headed by Kristian Ebbensgaard, Chairman of the Regional Council of Zealand Region, Denmark, visited ZJU and was warmly welcomed by President Yang Wei.
Prof. Yang briefed the guests on the recent development of ZJU and its exchange and cooperation with overseas partnerships. He also expressed the wishes to strenghen the cooperative ties with Danish universities and institutes. Kristian Ebbensgaard pointed out that Zhejiang Province and the region of Zealand have maintained good relationships and hoped that ZJU would promote collaboration with Zealand Region in research and education. Both sides explored the possibilities of cooperation in energy, environment, education etc. and reached agreements.
After the meeting, President Yang and Prof. Poul Holm, Rector of Roskiled University, signed MOU and Student Exchange Agreement between the two universities.
On the same day, the delegation visited the School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering and held talks with professors from the School of Education and the School of Environmental and Resource Sciences.
Other delegates included Steen Bach Nielsen, member of the Regional Council of Zealand Region, Jens Andersen, CEO of Zealand Region, Henrik Bindslev, Director of Risoe Research Center/Danish Technical University, Joergen B. Jespersen, Head of Flakkebjerg Research Centre/Aarhus University.
