On April 30, sponsored by Zhejiang University, China International Medical Cooperation Forum was held in Hangzhou with representatives from 70 major pulic hospitals. Participants discussed topics covering the reform of public hospitals, mode of international cooperation, operation mechanism and so on.
It s estimated that about 300 experts attended the forum and exchanged their views on the introduction of foreign managerial approach and comprehensive medical disciplines. Experts also expressed their opinions on ways to advance the standards of hospital evaluation, medical services, and to develop international medical market.
Dr. Sun Ren, Vice President of School of Medicine UCLA, stated that human is the key to success of international cooperation between medical schools. The success lies in the cultivation of concept and ideas to achieve international communication. Dr. Wang Jian-an, President of the Second Affiliated Hospital, noted that the Hospital should not only learn from UCLA, but also integrate their managerial experiences with practice. Dr. Zheng Shu-sen, President of the First Affiliated Hospital, made suggestions on the establishment of innovative research platforms.
At present, the seven affiliated hospitals of Zhejiang University have established a full range of in-depth cooperation with Schools of Medicine of UCLA, Kiel University, Loma Linda University, Brown University, Rochester Medical Center and many other internationally renowned hospitals.
