Ms.Guo Wanyi Was Appointed as an Honorary Trustee of Zhejiang University

On Apr. 4th, Ms. Guo Wanyi, The executive director of Hong Kong Sun Hung Kai Properties-Kwoks' Foundation, was appointed an honorary trustee of Zhejiang University. She is the third honorary trustee appointed after Mr. Tang Zhongying and Ms. Cha Liu Bie-ju. Chancellor Zhang Xi presented a letter of appointment for honorary trustee, a badge of Zhejiang University and a plaque of honorary trustee to Ms. Guo.

Ms. Guo Wanyi is one of the Kwok family members, the controlling shareholder of Sun Hung Kai Properties. She is the executive director of Sun Hung Kai Properties (Financial Services) Limited and Hung Kai Finance Company Limited. She has more than 25 years of management experience with a very high professional level. Ms. Guo is also a member of board of TS Kwok Foundation and executive director of Sun Hung Kai Properties-Kwoks Foundation. She has been committing herself to the development of higher education in Mainland China, donating scholarships and grants to more than 15 universities including Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Nanjing University, Shanghai Jiaotong Unversity and other well-known universities. The total sponsorship amounts to more than 300 million RMB.

Ms. Guo Wanyi said in her speech that it was great honor to be appointed an honorary trustee and promote the charity work of the Kwoks' Foundation. She expressed her hope to further the cooperation between the Foundation and Zhejiang University in fostering more elite professionals.

On the appointment ceremony, Chancellor Zhang Xi also presented souvenirs to Ms. Kwong Siu Hing, Group Chairmanof Sun Hung Kai Properties and mother of Ms. Guo Wanyi.
