Delegation from Technische Universiteit Eindhoven Visits Zhejiang University

On March 9, President Yang Wei met President Amandus Lundqvist of Technische Universiteit Eindhoven and the visiting delegation headed by him. The two sides held a discussion on academic exchanges and cooperation in prospect.

Technische Universiteit Eindhoven is university of technology with its focus on research and innovation. It has been working closely with Philips and some other famous corporations to provide students with a wide range of opportunities for research internships and employment. Beginning in 2006, the university provides scholarships for graduates from Zhejiang University annually. In 2010 a total of 40 undergraduate students have received full scholarships for master's degree at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven.

During its visit, the delegation also will hold seminars to introduce their master's and doctoral programs to ZJU students.
