A delegation from the University of Alaska Fairbanks visited CUMT from May 18 to 19. The delegation members include Dr. Douglas J. Goering, Interim Dean of College of Engineering and Mines, Dr. Gang Chen, Chair of Department of Mining & Geological Engineering and Dr. Frank Williams, Director of Arctic Region Supercomputing Center.
On May 19, CUMT s vice president Song Xuefeng met the delegation and expressed his warmly welcome to them. Following that, two sides introduced the universities to each other and discussed joint educational programs and research works with common interests between two universities.
The delegation also visited CUMT s State Key Laboratory of Coal Resources and Mine Safety.
