Professor Wu Weishan, Dean of the Academy of Fine Arts of Nanjing University, was conferred an honorary fellowship by the Chinese University of Hong Kong at its 9th Honorary Fellowship Conferment Ceremony on May 17 in recognition of his significant contributions to the promotion of Chinese culture through sculpture arts.

Prof. Wu Weishan is also President of China Sculpture Academy, Director of the Institute of Arts of the Chinese National Academy of Arts, and a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors (RBS). He has created over 500 sculptures of historical and cultural figures such as Qi Baishi, Fei Xiaotong and Queen Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard of the Netherlands.
