NJU Professor Xing Dingyu, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was honored with the title "National Advanced Worker" in the 2010 Commendatory Convention for National Model Workers and Advanced Workers held in Beijing on April 27.
Prof. Xing Dingyu was the director of the National Laboratory of Solid State Microstructures of Nanjing University from 1999 to 2005. Right now he is the director of the National Laboratory of Microstructures at Nanjing, and also the chairman of the Academic Degree Committee of the Physics School at Nanjing University. As one of the academic leaders in the field of physics, Prof. Xing has made outstanding contributions to the university`s physics research and to the development of the national laboratory.
