On the morning of March 9 Mr. Wu Poh-hsiung, Honorary Chairman of the Kuomintang (KMT), held a breakfast meeting to welcome a delegation of Nanjing University (NJU) led by NJU Chancellor Prof. Hong Yinxing.
The delegation came to Taiwan to hold a series of Nanjing University Week activities from March 8 to 13 in order to expand cross-strait cultural and educational exchanges and enhance cooperation with the education circle in Taiwan.
Mr. Wu welcomed the Nanjing University Delegation as a NJU alumnus for he had received an honorary doctorate degree from the University in 2009.
In his welcome speech Mr. Wu Poh-hsiung expressed his hope that the delegation s visit to Taiwan will bear rich fruit.
