Vice President of Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus Paid a Visit

On Oct.18, 2010, Professor Marwan A.Wafa, Vice President of Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus, and Mr. Ryan Hou, Deputy Mayer of Columbus who is responsible for international affairs, paid a visit to Jiangnan University. Professor Wang Wu, Vice President of JU met with the two guests and introduced the communication and collaboration programs between Jiangnan University and Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus during the last 30 years. Also present at this meeting was Mr. Liu Lixia, Director of International Office of JU. At this meeting, the two sides discussed a wide range of issues such as faculty exchanges, mutual recognition of respective students credits, cooperation on MBA programs and academic research. They also touched upon the potential cooperation on developing local talents for a Wuxi-based American company, Cummins. This visit was included in their itinerary to Wuxi where the Columbus-Wuxi Sister Cities Conference was taking place.
